SPECIAL ANOUNCMENT
FROM JAMES MILAM AND JIM WINKLER
OF THE LOGAN COAL VENDORS.
MAY 18 AT
THE EPA IS HOLDING A SPECIAL PUBLIC HEARING
AT THE CHARLESTON CIVIC CENTER
FOR THE MINGO LOGAN SPRUCE PERMIT.
This hearing is not only about Arch Coal, it is about the future of our lives. This is the make or break permit for the coal industry. This permit has been the most scrutinized permit ever applied for and it has taken over 10 years to get an approval. It was approved in 2007 and now is being blocked by the present administration and the EPA. The way we live and the future of our communities is at stake, it is not about what company you work for or if it is union, non-union surface or under ground, it is about mining in Appalachia. The extremists and the EPA are wanting to stop mining all together in Appalachia and we need your help. Be at the meeting and show your support. If we are to win this new battle it will take every one to be involved. Bring signs, be loud. Show your support. If we lose this battle we may have to go and work at McDonald’s, if there is still one here.
We abide by all laws, we mine the right way. Help us by showing your support.
There will be an announcement in the next few days about free bus transportation from Fountain Place and back the day of the hearing.
